A follow up on the last post about John McCain missing the vote on the stimulus package. According to ABC News, McCain was in Washington, but made "an 11th hour decision" not to show up.

Yes, the Straight-Talk Express has run off the road and into a ditch. McCain didn't want to vote with Republicans who are filibustering the bill, and he didn't want to vote with Democrats for fear of angering the conservatives even more.

Whatever his war record shows, he's certainly lacking political courage now that he has his sights set on the White House.
