Sen. John McCain is realeasing his medical records today. Well, sort of. The restrictions he has put on those records is similar to what they do for top-secret material:
The newer batch of records has strict security guidelines attached. Only certain news networks and newspapers will be permitted to enter the room, and they will have only three hours to examine the papers.
No cell phones or Internet access will be allowed in the room, located in a resort outside Phoenix, Arizona. Copying the records is also prohibited.
Anyone who leaves the room for any reason except the bathroom will not be allowed back.
The whole reason for releasing these records is to prove to the public that he is healthy enough to be the oldest president ever elected. But these restrictions makes me wonder what he's hiding. It's almost like they only want non-experts in the room, and they give them no way to contact real experts to interpret what they are looking at. I wouldn't be surprised if this secrecy spawns even more questions about his health.
